entangled waters

To commemorate Earth Day, the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts and Culture is partnering with the County Energy and Sustainability Division to present Entangled Waters, a public site-specific video installation from 8:00-10:30 p.m. on April 13 and 14, 2018 at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. Entangled Waters will visually reference Michelangelo's The Flood panel in the Sistine Chapel. As land and their stories wash away and oceans fill with plastic, oil spills and fracking chemicals, the installation evokes a tangled web of humanity, sea life and pollutants. poetry in the presidio

Come join us on April 14, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Alhecama Theatre located in the El Presidio de Santa Barbara State Historic Park for an afternoon of Poetry. Santa Barbara Poet Laureate, Enid Osborn, will host the celebration of poetry, art, inspiration, and community along with local finalists from Poetry Out Loud: Santa Barbara County Regional Competition.
