City-appointed committees
Santa Barbara City Council appoints representatives to serve as ambassadors for the City of Santa Barbara's diverse artistic disciplines. In addition to volunteering as civic liaisons, these committees make recommendations regarding policy, arts, and fund disbursement to City elected officials.
The Santa Barbara County Office of Arts & Culture provides administrative support for these bodies, which convene during open public meetings, where all members of the public are invited to join. There is an open public comment period at the beginning of each meeting.
