ABOUT THE SANTA BARBARA PRINTMAKERS
The Santa Barbara Printmakers is a group of artists dedicated to creating and exhibiting original prints made using hand and press printing techniques such as etching, drypoint, monoprint, woodblock, collagraph, linocut, clay, lithography, screen printing, transfer, and photopolymer plates.
Currently the Printmakers have approximately 75 members and operate with the guidance of a coordinating committee. They present three or more exhibitions each year and disseminate news and information about printmaking activities in the Santa Barbara area via email, their website, and a newsletter. Members include emerging and established artists. The Printmakers are a volunteer organization and support their activities through the talents, skills, and energy of their members. Membership information is available at sbprintmakers.com.
In recent years, the Printmakers have partnered with artists and notable jurors from beyond Santa Barbara—John Greco (Josephine Press, LA), Dan Welden (Hampton Editions, Ltd., NY), and Jim Webb (Gemini G.E.L.).
More information is available at sbprintmakers.com.
