Redwoods to Rockabilly: The Prints of Angelina LaPointe is on view from December 1, 2016 to July 28, 2017 in City Hall Gallery.

The exhibition is sponsored by the City of Santa Barbara and features La Pointe’s multi-color linoleum block prints depicting iconic California landscapes as well as artwork inspired by vintage music posters, medieval, romantic, and folk styles.
Angelina LaPointe is a Lompoc-born artist who works in a wide variety of creative media. She has a degree in Book Arts from the University of California Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies, where she focused on the technique of block printing. In 2014, she founded Sidecar Press, a one-woman letterpress studio in the pantry of her farmhouse. Angelina also plays upright bass and sings in a Rockabilly-Americana band called The Luck. In addition to perfecting her craft, LaPointe strives to provide a voice for her community of musicians and artists.
